    1995 Integra GS-R

    PeteTheCarFreak's 1995 Acura Integra SE

    On November 1st, 2014, I bought my 4th car for $2500. It was a 1995 Acura Integra LS with a GS-R swap.

When I first bought this car, I didn't have a lot of knowledge about Honda/Acura. To be honest I didn't even know what "GSR" was. All the owner said was that it had "vtech" haha, which I did know what V-TEC is. Later that week, somebody on Instagram showed me how to tell what was under my hood (https://instagram.com/p/u6SGast7G9/?..._the_car_freak). Then about a week later I had started working at my first job; pushing carts for Walmart. Now I had an income to get my build rolling. I had started off by changing all the fluids. I also found out I have aftermarket headers and air intake.

So I had been working, learning/researching, going to school, got rid of the LED lights that didn't even work, got rid of the horrible window film (it wasn't tint, it was like mirror but you couldn't see out of it), and got rid of some decals, got rid of a big dent in the driver side fender. So I wasn't doing much for about a month or so. When I'm at work I'll talk to people about their car (if its cool/modified) and I met this one guy named Victor with a lowered Integra (we are now friends). So when he came outside, I walked over and we had started talking about Integra's. I told him mine was the one parked in front of him, and he saw mine was at stock height and he asked me if I wanted to trade suspension (https://instagram.com/p/v1qivYN7LA/?..._the_car_freak). He wanted to trade because he had started a family and he didn't want to be lowered anymore. And I told him that I'd like to trade because hey, why spend money on new adjustable coilovers when you can get them for free? So I just wanted him to find out what brand they were before we swapped. Then a few days later I had been cleaning my rims and I see red springs! So I looked under there and yup! I already had coilovers! So I had taken my Teg to Les Schwab because I had a messed up valve stem cap that wouldn't come off, and I asked if I could look at my car on the lift with the wheel off to see what brand they were. So I had looked and it said KYB, I had contacted Victor and told him that I had just found out that I have KYB coilovers and I was no longer interested in trading.

Then Christmas rolls around and my parents were very generous and bought me four JBL speakers and an ALPINE amp! So they sat in my room for about two months while me and my dad were planning on installing them.. haha. So in the beginning of February my friend James (he drives a 240SX) is at the junkyard and he sends me a pic of a Integra. This Integra is AMAZING for being in a yard!! I asked him to pull the tail lights off of it and I'll pay him an extra $5 than what they cost him (for the trouble of getting them). So then he showed up to school the next day with them, I had payed him and now I have 94-97 tail lights sitting in my trunk. I had decided I was just going to install the speakers and tail lights since me and my dad just didn't get around to it (I didn't install the amp).

Got my first speeding ticket (https://instagram.com/p/ygc5t5t7Df/?..._the_car_freak).

I had a day off, and I took that day to get this done. I had started by taking a TON of my interior out, then making custom mounts for the speakers. I had installed the speakers, then at about 11:30 PM my parents told me to go to bed because they were too.. haha, I stayed up because I didn't feel like picking up on it another time. I checked around inside my car to see if I saw anything such as rust (https://instagram.com/p/y5yC2DN7I5/?..._the_car_freak). Then I had installed my new anti-rice tail lights (https://instagram.com/p/y-igOYN7Ii/?..._the_car_freak).

So I had been getting random little bits and such that my car needs, also put in a rear interior (there wasn't anything in the trunk, just the painted metal floor). Got an unused, chrome, still in package ITR shift knob for $15, it looks great.

I had purchased new carbon fiber hood struts, new blue air filters, and new blue 8mm spark plug wires.

I now I am currently trying to get a 98-01 front bumper, I have a 98-01 rear in my garage. I am also trying to figure out if I wanna build my GSR, swap in a B18C Spec R, a J32A2 swap, a JDM H23A Blue Top, or a K20A swap. At this age I don't have a ton of bills to pay, just car stuff, that's whats been making me think about doing a swap is because I can actually afford it.

    Update

My Spoon Sports Mirrors just showed up today! Got em for $25 (plus $17 for shipping). Plus I bought a GS-R gauge cluster for $40!

The only thing with the Spoon Sports mirrors, is that the guy didn't ship them very well and one got damaged because of it.. not a big deal though. I can fix it.

But I have some modifications I'd like to do to them before I install them.

Ouch. I'd return em and ask for new ones, I bet it was the shipping companies fault. Ever see the videos of UPS destroying people's shit when they deliver it?

Yeah he said they're replicas, but the actual mirrors inside of them are real. We used PayPal so everything went smooth.

So I just bought an AEM Air Intake Tube for $25! The only problem is that there are two holes in it that were being covered by duct tape.. does anybody on here know how/can wield aluminum? I can pay you if you like??

Just don't end up repeating the issue with another ill fitting intake.

    Cool Update

I suppose I should post an update
I had bought left and right bumper side stiffeners from Jalopy Jungle quite a while ago. It's part number 8, pictured below.

So I finally got to putting them on! The bumper fitment is so much better!

I had made an appointment with BK Industries for a full inspection, first time going to BK! I was very happy with their service, only cost me $75.
Now I have a new "To Do List".

Turns out that when I had my transmission serviced back in December of 2014, Bobby's Transmission Inc. did the job incorrectly.. they put freaking gear oil in my transmission instead of Honda MTF! Even though they told me they put the Honda MTF in!! I'm pretty pissed about that.
But anyways.. If you look at my To Do List, it says that a ground was not in the correct spot. I moved it to the correct spot and my car sounds sooo much better while idling! Yay! Haha..
